Trofi Systems and CST Strategic Advisors Partner to Create Trofi Security
Denver, CO, February 11, 2015 – Trofi Systems Solutions, founded in 1999 to provide information security and compliance services, has joined forces with CST Strategic Advisors, founded in 2012 to provide virtual CxO services, with the aim of accelerating their growth within the burgeoning Information Security Services industry. The transaction was completed on January 30, 2015, and the newly formed entity will operate under the name Trofi Security.
"Joining resources with CST gave us the immediate expansion into the virtual CISO market we needed to address the rapidly escalating demand for information security strategy services within the marketplace," said Mike Trofi, Founder of Trofi Systems Solutions. "While strategy has always been a part of our services, our core focus has primarily been on providing information security assessment, penetration testing, regulatory compliance, and remediation support to companies. This partnership will allow us to provide a truly comprehensive range of information security services to our clients."
Information security spending by organizations has seen double-digit growth for the past decade. With information security challenges projected to be a significantly greater priority for Boards and Executive teams worldwide, prompted by a growing number of high profile incidents, the demand for information security services is expected to grow exponentially over the next decade. Gartner predicts that by 2018 more than half of all organizations will look to outside firms to provide managed security services as part of their information security strategy.
"We’re excited to be moving into 2015 in concert with Trofi Systems," said Rod Saunders, Managing Partner for CST Strategic Advisors. "Operating as Trofi Security, with combined resources and expertise from both organizations, gives us the breadth, depth, and capacity to compete on a national scale. Organizations are starting to realize that to address the constantly changing risk landscape, it is far more cost effective to work with outside firms, employing teams of experts, rather than try to hire scarce talent in-house. With this partnership, we position ourselves to provide the range of expertise organizations will need."
